Funding
The Moyie Volunteer Fire Department operates as a non-profit society. Our day-to-day operational costs are not currently funded by the RDEK or other government agencies.
Funding for insurance and other operating costs therefore comes from our annual fundraiser as well as both private and corporate donations.
Donations can be made by e-transfer to: MoyieER@gmail.com and should be marked donation to Moyie Volunteer Fire Department.

Equipment
The department currently operates a 1400 gallon water tender with integral high pressure pump as well as a fast response bush truck.
In addition, we maintain a wildfire protection trailer which is well-equipped with fire pumps, hoses, sprinklers, chainsaws and other equipment that allows us to quickly attack wildland interface fires.
